RACS Achieve Cyber Essential Plus Certification
RACS are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation following two months of hard work by our IT department.
The government backed Cyber Essentials scheme addresses the most common Internet-based threats to cyber security - particularly, attacks that use widely available tools and demand little skill, such as hacking, phishing and password guessing.
The process involved a very thorough review to ensure that all IT systems and software were completely up to date. Running parallel to this, the team had to make sure that controls are in place to prevent information being shared incorrectly both inside and outside of the organisation.
Chief Technology Officer Derren Nugent commented: "It's great to have achieved this first time round and it is testament to the importance we place on keeping our customer information secure. We hear lots of news stories talking about data breaches and this new accreditation gives us and our customers' peace of mind that their personal information is safe. It's quite a big pat on the back for independent cyber security professionals to give us the green light"
The Governments National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and industry have worked together to produce the scheme designed to help UK organisations with limited experience of cyber security to improve their defences and demonstrate publicly their commitment to cyber security.
